How Our Process Works

We use a proprietary, portable electrolysis system to extract heavy calcium directly from your pool water without wasting a single drop. It turns a complex chemical problem into a simple, mechanical removal process.

Step 1: Safe, External Setup

Our system operates entirely outside of your pool. A simple, braided clear tube is placed in the water to quietly draw pool water into our secure external containment vessel. Once the water is processed, it is safely returned to your pool.

Step 2: Magnetic Attraction

The system applies a safe, low-voltage electrical current to the water. This current alters the behavior of the dissolved calcium ions, draOur system operates entirely outside of your pool. Step 3: Solidification & Capture

The system applies a safe, low-voltage electrical current to the water. This current alters the behavior of the dissolved calcium ions, drawing them out of suspension and pulling them straight to our custom-engineered cathode rod like a magnet. As the calcium hits the cathode rod, it crystallizes and solidifies out of the water, binding directly to the rod instead of your pool tiles, plaster, or heaters.

Step 4: Zero Swim Downtime

Because the entire electrolysis process takes place securely inside our external vessel and uses absolutely no hazardous chemicals, your pool remains completely safe and open. You can swim and enjoy your pool right through peak season while the system passively cleans your water in the background.

Step 5: Weekly Extraction & Proof

Every week, we test your water's calcium levels, pull the cathode rod to mechanically remove the accumulated scale buildup, and send you a photo of the progress. Over 2 to 3 months, your calcium levels drop safely into the ideal zone.

Step 6: Reversing Existing Damage (The "Hungry Water" Effect)

Our goal isn't just to stop new scale from forming—we want to erase the old scale, too. By carefully extracting calcium, we lower the concentration enough to make your pool water slightly "hungry." Because water naturally seeks chemical balance, this hungry water acts as a gentle, natural solvent. It slowly begins to dissolve the ugly, white scale cemented to your pool tiles and inside your plumbing, pulling it back into the water where our electrolysis unit safely removes it forever.

Why This Matters for North Bay Pool Owners

  • The Draining Risk: Draining a pool in our local soils carries a real risk of hydrostatic pressure "popping" the pool shell right out of the ground, leading to catastrophic structural damage. Electrolysis keeps the pool full and stable.

  • The Well Water Reality: For properties on local well water, refilling a pool from the well simply introduces a fresh batch of heavy iron, minerals, and calcium all over again. Our system cleans the water you already have, breaking the endless cycle of refilling and scaling.

Frequently Asked Questions: Portable Calcium Removal

How much does the calcium removal service cost?

The service is a flat $250 per month using our residential model. Our commercial unit is a flat $600 per month Unlike reverse osmosis or draining—which require a massive upfront payment and expensive water replacement—our electrolysis system works steadily over time for a manageable monthly rate.

How much calcium will it remove each week?

Each week our residential model extracts on average 2 lbs of calcium each week, while our commercial model extracts about 8 lbs.

How long does the process take?

For an average pool, the complete calcium remediation process takes about 2 to 3 months.

I am on well water. Will this still work?

Yes. If your pool is filled using well water, the process may take longer due to the higher initial mineral density. However, the electrolysis system will still effectively and safely pull the excess calcium out of your water.

What is included in the weekly service?

We don't just leave the machine and guess when it's done. Every week, your pool receives a dedicated visit where we:

  • Analyze the exact calcium parts-per-million (PPM) in your water.

  • Service the portable electrolysis unit.

  • Send you a weekly photo update of the system's cathode rod, so you can visually see the calcium scale being extracted from your pool water week by week.

Is the equipment safe to leave running in my backyard?

Absolutely. The portable electrolysis unit is heavily over-engineered specifically for safety. It is completely enclosed, kid-proof, and pet-proof, ensuring it operates securely and cleanly between weekly visits.

Is there anything I can do to speed up the process?

Yes! Evaporation is one of the main causes of rapid calcium buildup. As water evaporates, the heavy calcium is left behind and concentrates in your pool. Using a pool cover during the hot summer months significantly lessens evaporation. This not only speeds up our remediation process but helps prevent future scale buildup.
